I was talking with a associate today who is a director of a mid size company Trucking company and they did a test over the last few months and found that the drivers who ran consistently 59-62 MPH actually made more money then the drivers that were running 70 to 75 MPH on average. Because of fuel cost?

Could be a fuel cost or simply the way fuel is used at the lower mileage, perhaps allowing them to be more productive overall per mile. Would like to hear some experienced truck driver opinions on this.
